BIO

Currently a Van Lier Directing Fellow at Repertorio Español, where he directed the U.S. Premiere of Carlos Be's Noel Road 25: a genius like us and where he will next direct his own translation of Guillem de Castro's La Fuerza de la Costumbre. As a member of The Rachel Klein Theater Ensemble, he has performed at such venues as The Kitchen, Dixon Place, Theater for the New City, (le) poisson rouge, La MaMa E.T.C. and The House of Yes. Most recently, he served as Assistant Director to Ms. Klein on the Industry Play Reading of Gay Bride of Frankenstein. BA, Marymount Manhattan College. Sarah Play Alum, 08.

Dixon Place will present the world premiere of Rachel Klein's Symphony of Shadows: A Tale From the Land Beyond the Veil on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from tonight, June 8 to at 7:30pm at Dixon Place / 161A Chrystie Street. This movement-based spectacular tells the story of a woman combating a variety of sleep disorders, phantasmagorical night terrors, hypnotic horrors, and other, visually stunning conjurings from the subconscious depths of her own disturbed mind. Symphony of Shadows merges striking elements of circus and aerial arts, dance and movement, burlesque, and operatic productions to vividly illustrate its storyline in a genre defying form, which 'evokes a live-action silent film.'

Dixon Place will present the world premiere of Rachel Klein's Symphony of Shadows: A Tale from the Land Beyond the Veil from June 7-23 at Dixon Place, New York. This movement-based spectacular tells the story of a woman combating a variety of sleep disorders, phantasmagorical night terrors, hypnotic horrors & other visually stunning conjurings from the subconscious depths of her own disturbed mind. Symphony of Shadows merges striking elements of circus & aerial arts, dance & movement, burlesque & operatic productions to vividly illustrate its storyline in a genre-defying form which "evokes a live-action silent film." Symphony of Shadows was commissioned by Dixon Place as a world premiere as part of the theater's Monde Cane original works series.
