Review: THE PROM Pulses with Heart at Ridgefield Theater Barn

It is on the wings of wit and pleasantly wacky characterizations that the operative message of tolerance is delivered, in one case with the revival meeting fervor of “Love Thy Neighbor,” led by the fun and funny antics of Michael Valinoti as genially goofy Trent Oliver.
Review: CLUE at Ridgefield Theater Barn

Based on the 1985 movie, the script of 'Clue' is a fun romp rife with wordplay and sight gags. Need a break from streaming and bingeing and all the newfangled ways to get your entertainment fix?

The play is by Sandy Rustin, Hunter Foster, and Eric Price, based on the screenplay by Jonathan Lynn. Under the wonderful direction of David Fritsch, the Ridgefield Theater Barn successfully put on yet another phenomenal production that combines comedy with murder mystery!

BWW Review: 'THE EXTREMISTS?' 'Exactly...' at TheatreWorks New Milford

What does 12 Angry Men and The Extremists have in common? Did you guess politics? Because if so, you would be right. What was set up to be a dry, lengthy discussion turned into a frantic introspection of who the extremists really are.

BWW Review: ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST at Ridgefield Theater Barn

On Friday, June 7, I had the pleasure of seeing ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST at the Ridgefield Theater Barn in Ridgefield, CT.  This brilliantly written and phenomenally performed dark drama is based on the novel by Ken Kesey and adapted for the stage by Dale Wasserman.  Director Kevin Sosbe brings the best out in this strong cast of actors and actresses whose talents blend together well, creating a show that excels in generating intense feeling and emotion from the captivated audience.
BWW Review: Big 'Mac' Is One-Man Show in ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST at Ridgefield Theater Barn

In the airless unfunny farm over which dour Nurse Ratched presides, McMurphy appears to foment anarchy. Yet, given the oppressive circumstances, the only thing subversive in his intention is to restore a sense of dignity and free will to those he views as the downtrodden -- captives of a rigged system that is oblivious to their best interests.

Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson is a youthful, refreshing, irreverent, funny, exciting, not-quite-politically-correct look at the twisted history of the United States as told through the strange saga of President Andrew Jackson, rock star.
