MidAm International has announced the world premiere of composer/conductor Chris Maunu's Phoenix: A Trilogy of Hope on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 7:30 PM at the Kawaiahao Church in Honolulu, Hawaii with with the Honolulu Chamber Players.

A special program of DCINY (Distinguished Concerts International New York) 10th anniversary season, a popular producer of world-class classical choral concerts, is The Sacred and the Profane: Carmina Burana, featuring Carl Orff's Carmina Burana conducted by maestro Jonathan Griffith.  Also on the program is the New York premiere of Gospel Trinity, written by African American composer Rosephanye Powell and conducted by William Powell. The program juxtaposes the sacred in Powell's composition with the profane in Orff's masterpiece.

Pasadena's Jet Propulsion Laboratory may be best known for its unparalleled scientific endeavors such as landing the Curiosity Rover on the surface of Mars, but tonight, January 7, another side of the organization will be on display. The JPL Chorus joins the Donald Brinegar Singers for a choral celebration of winter with Epiphany. This free concert takes place at Pasadena City College's Westerbeck Recital Hall at 8pm.

La Mirada Theatre Presents L.A. Opera's THE MAGIC DREAM Today

La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts continues its 2012-13 Programs for Young Audiences series with LA Opera's The Magic Dream, an original adaptation of Mozart's The Magic Flute. This 50-minute, high-energy introduction to opera is recommended for audiences ages 5 and up. Performances are today, February 17, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
