Social Media Remembrances: Broadway and Hollywood Stars Mourn the Passing of Nick Cordero

Yesterday, BroadwayWorld was incredibly saddened to report that Nick Cordero died at 41 years of age at Cedar-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles after 91 days in the hospital. Stars from the stage and screen are mourning Cordero's death with touching tributes on social media.

HBO Drama Series THE DEUCE to Return for a Second Season

Chronicling the rise of pornography and the multibillion-dollar industry's transformation of American culture, the critically acclaimed drama series THE DEUCE, created by George Pelecanos and David Simon, returns for its nine-episode second season SUNDAY, SEPT. 9 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT), exclusively on HBO. Last night, sixteen Broadway stars were featured in Broadway Sings Kelly Clarkson, the latest concert in the Broadway Sings concert series. The tribute concerts take the music of well-known music icons and create new, unique arrangements and orchestrations by twisting the style to fit the strength of the performer. Previous fifteen concerts have included Adele, Stevie Wonder, Justin Timberlake, and Rihanna. On August 20, the series will continue with Broadway Sings Alanis Morissette.

Broadway favorites including Ben Fankhauser (Newsies), Arielle Jacobs (Aladdin), Adam Kaplan (A Bronx Tale), and Anthony Lee Medina (Hamilton) join the lineup for the 16th installment of the acclaimed Broadway Sings concert series, Broadway Sings Kelly Clarkson, onJune 18. Cast members from Broadway shows including Hamilton, Frozen, Waitress, and Great Comet will sing completely new arrangements of the hits of the pop superstar, accompanied by a 14-piece orchestra playing original orchestrations of her music.
