BWW Review: THE CURIOUS SAVAGE at Hershey Area Playhouse
In the vast realm of theatre, there are shows of all moods and temperaments to be found. Recently, it can sometimes seem difficult to find a show that prides itself on a cast of characters that inspire nothing but joy and help to convey messages of love and self-exploration. However, this is exactly the kind of warm-and-fuzzy feeling that one comes away with thanks to Hershey Area Playhouse and their production of THE CURIOUS SAVAGE.

Rita Florence Williams, a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, federal government worker, social activist, devoted writer and author, has completed her new book 'Life Goes On As We Know It': a gripping and potent voyage through the changes in the civil rights movement in America over the past sixty years. This book is written from the perspective of an eight-year-old colored girl in the 1950s.
NGV Children's Gallery Presents Andy Warhol | Ai Weiwei Studio Cats Free Exhibition, Dec. 11
Cats, one of the favourite subjects of artists Andy Warhol and Ai Weiwei, will be celebrated in a dedicated, FREE exhibition in the NGV children's galleries opening on 11 December. Both artists' fondness for felines is well documented; Andy Warhol lived in a New York apartment with more than twenty cats called Sam (plus his favourite Hester) and Ai Weiwei's studio is home to over thirty cats, including one who opens doors and 'Garfield'who winks.

For those aged 13 – 17 there is the first ever Art Party today 22 January at NGV International, a night of music, food, fashion and art-making. Curated by the NGV in collaboration with young designers SIGNAL (themselves 13 – 25) activities include a Silent Disco, DJS, workshops with contemporary artists and designers including a jewellery design workshop withKate Rohde and collage artist Minna Gilligan and after-hours access to the exhibition The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier. Like our Friday Nights music series, the Art Party will give teens a chance to experience Jean Paul Gaultier and music at the gallery with exclusive after-hours access.

National Gallery of Victoria Announces $1.95m Grant for Children's Programs
A major $1.95m grant devoted to children's programming and initiatives at the National Gallery of Victoria was announced today. Supporting the NGV's vision to become an international leader in children's programming, this significant philanthropic grant, to apply over a five-year period, was generously given by the Truby and Florence Williams Charitable Trust.
