BIO

Fiz is one the most sought after Musical Director in London's West End and around the world. Fiz has worked in many different fields of the Music and Entertainment industry in London for over thirty years, both in theatre, television and on the stage. Currently a Musical Supervisor for The Really Useful Group, Fiz is responsible for the re-creation of the show CATS around the world, from productions in Europe to South Africa, Australia, the Middle East, Asia, including Hong Kong, Manila and Taiwan and was responsible for the first Korean language production and the first Mandarin language production in China. He is also most recently Musical Supervisor for the first Mandarin language production of Tell Me On A Sunday which opened in Shanghai. His theatre experience covers a wide range of musicals that include Working, 110 in The Shade, Company, Sweet Charity, and the London Premieres of Merrily We Roll Along, and Little Shop Of Horrors. He spent three years conducting Les Miserables at the Palace Theatre, then the Kander and Ebb celebration How Lucky Can You Get, followed by King at the Piccadilly Theatre; the story of Martin Luther King. FOllowing the U.K tour of the National Theatre production of Guys and Dolls he returned to London?s West End for the acclaimed new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber?s Aspects Of Love at the Prince of Wales theatre. He then went on to be Musical Director for Five Guys Named Moe, and for the London Premiere of The Best Of Times, the new Jerry Herman revue. Fiz also works as a Vocal Arranger for theatre and across many genres including the national tour of What A Feeling, and the male singing group Teatro. As a Music Director / Pianist, and Vocal arranger, Fiz has worked with many Jazz / Cabaret, and ?Pop? artistes, both in the U.K., Europe, and across the U.S.A., ranging from; Adelaide Hall and Eartha Kitt, to Helen Reddy, The Three Degrees, The Stylistics, Shalamar, Candi Staton, The Supremes, Rose Royce, Sister Sledge, Leo Sayer, The Trammps, The Real Thing, Odyssey, Tavares, Demis Roussos, Jocelyn Brown, and most recently, Sweetbox. Fiz also composes and arranges for television, and was Music Director for the BBC series Bob Monkhouse on the Spot, and was seen on the recent T.V series Let Me Entertain You.

Maria Friedman's Doorstep Productions Celebrates First Birthday

In 2020, during lockdown and with theatres closed, actors Maria Friedman and Adrian Der Gregorian founded Doorstep Productions to bring live theatre to front doors all around the country.

Doorstep Productions has been founded by actors Maria Friedman and Adrian Der Gregorian.  Nothing can equal the experience of a live performance, so, while most theatres remain closed, Doorstep Productions will bring a slice of the West End to the people. 
SPRING AWAKENING Will Play In China For the First Time

Harmonia Holdings, Ltd. and SAICa??Shanghai Culture Square announced today the first professional production of the eight-time Tony Award®-winning Spring Awakening in China. This ground-breaking production will be directed and choreographed by Spencer Liff, with music supervision by West End's Fiz Shapur and associate direction by Xiaoyi Liu of The National Theatre of China. It will feature set, lighting, sound, and costume design by an all-Chinese creative team. The production will open in January 2020 for a limited engagement of 13 performances and a subsequent national tour, and will have dialogue in Chinese, with songs sung in English.
