Syracuse University Drama Will Bring Shakespeare's ROMEO AND JULIET to the Stage
The Syracuse University Department of Drama is beginning the spring semester with William Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliet.' Directed by faculty member Thom Miller, this production brings a fresh take to Shakespeare's timeless classic about a pair of star-crossed lovers. 'Romeo and Juliet' previews on Feb. 14 and opens on Feb. 15 in the Archbold Theatre at the Syracuse Stage/SU Drama Complex, 820 E. Genesee St.
Syracuse University Department of Drama presents 'The House of the Spirits'
Syracuse University's Department of Drama presents The House of the Spirits, an adaptation of Isabel Allende's novel written by playwright Caridad Svich. Svich's adaptation is a theatrical response that works to capture the feel of Allende's magical realism. The House of the Spirits opens on Nov. 11 in the Storch Theatre at the Syracuse Stage/SU Drama Complex, 820 E. Genesee St. A preview performance is on Nov. 10.

The Guthrie Theater and The Acting Company (TAC) today announced complete casting for their 2010 co-production and national tour of William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Building on the success of their critically acclaimed 2009 production of Henry V, these two nationally recognized theater institutions will again showcase the talents of young performers from their ranks, including graduates of the University of Minnesota/Guthrie Theater B.F.A. Actor Training Program, participants of the Guthrie Experience (GEx), and alumni of The Acting Company.
