JOURNY Travels to Cuba and India in First-Time Deal with Espresso Media
Ovation TV, America's only arts network, has acquired the non-exclusive U.S. digital rights of two titles for its AVOD travel and culture channel JOURNY. The first is Havana Curveball (1 x 60'), a beautiful documentary from directors Ken Schneider and Marcia Jarmel about baseball, United States-Cuban relations, and Holocaust history, rolled into a coming-of-age story about the complexities of doing good. The deal for Havana Curveball also includes linear rights to air on Ovation. The second title, for digital rights only, is The New Creative India (8 x 30'), a documentary series offering an insight to the world of contemporary Indian design, art, mixed-media, jewelry, fashion, and body-art. The announcement was made today by Elba Flamenco, VP of Platforms and Content, Ovation.

Created by Director Amit Shah and AATMA Performing Arts in 2011, Mystic India: The World Tour is an internationally acclaimed Bollywood dance spectacular based on the concept of ancient India's transition into modern India. The colorful costumes and elaborate sets have been custom designed by Amit Shah and hand-made in India's film capital by a team of 40 designers and workers over the course of four years. The team of diverse, impeccably trained dancers from the AATMA Performing Arts dance company combines authentic Indian and modern techniques bringing the streets of Mumbai and New York into perfect harmony.

Casting and Cameo Groups Announced for Free Public Works' Musical Adaptation of THE WINTER'S TALE
Following last year's acclaimed Public Works production of The Tempest, The Public Theater will continue this community-based initiative this September with a free original musical adaptation of Shakespeare's THE WINTER'S TALE. Featuring more than 200 New Yorkers from all five boroughs performing alongside professional actors and The Public's community partners, Public Works' THE WINTER'S TALE will run for three nights only, September 5-7, at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. Free tickets will be distributed, two per person, at 12:00 p.m. on the day of the show at the Delacorte Theater and via the Virtual Ticketing lottery at www.publictheater.org.
