Review: THIS IS HALLOWEEN at The Can Can
The Can Can, Seattle’s fabulous burlesque house, celebrates the 15th anniversary of their collaboration with The Triple Door by bringing back their ode to Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” with their tantalizing “This Is Halloween”. And while this naughty nightmare has much of what you’d want from a Can Can show, one aspect continued to be quite frustrating, at least for me. Clarity.
BWW Review: PEACOCK at The Can Can Soars
The Can Can, Seattle's Hottest Burlesque Theatre, is back with an all new show, the dazzling a?oePeacocka??, plus a new cast member, and a new rival for my favorite production of theirs. In addition to their usual flashy, yet revealing costumes, on beautiful performers, and high-flying dance routines, I love it when they allow their performers the moments to use their gorgeous voices, plus I'm a sucker for a showtune. Add into that a delightful story that had the audience in the palm of their sequined hands, and they have a show that had me beaming from tops to bottoms a?? er I mean, from soup to nuts a?? wait no, from beginning to their ends a?? dammit! Well, you know what I mean.

BWW Review: Can Can's Sexy European Cabaret BONBON
Dear Readers, if you deem to venture into the sultry world of Can Can's newest show, "Bonbon", you may walk away with several feelings. First, you'll probably have a need to hit the gym more because, well, damn! Second, there's the impetus to slink and sashay down the street afterward humming a sexy torch song (and since you may have had a few drinks while there, this may actually happen). And finally, you may come to the strange realization that you've never wanted to be a suspender or garter (or possibly both) so much in your entire life. But whichever of those feelings you let overtake you, what you will have is a kick ass evening filled with song, dance, and enough finely toned skin to give the peep show across the street a run for its money. But, of course, all in the best of taste.
