Berkshire Opera Festival Launches its Summer With New Production of Heggie's THREE DECEMBERS
Berkshire Opera Festival opens its 2022 summer season with a compelling new production of Jake Heggie's intimate THREE DECEMBERS on July 21 and 23 at PS21 in Chatham, NY, conducted by Christopher James Ray and directed by Beth Greenberg. This contemporary American opera is based on Tony Award-winning playwright Terrence McNally's original script for Some Christmas Letters.

The only company of its kind in the region, BOF produces opera at the highest level under the vision of esteemed co-founders Brian Garman (Artistic Director) and Jonathon Loy (Director of Production).

OPERA NEWS Earns Merit Award for Illustration by The Society of Publication Designers
OPERA NEWS was named a Print Merit winner in the best editorial design competition by The Society of Publication Designers (SPD), an organization serving the network of creative professionals, strengthening the editorial design community and shaping the future of visual culture. This follows recognition OPERA NEWS received last fall from the Society of Illustrators for the August 2018 piece 'Access Opera' by Robert Neubecker. The illustration was accepted into the Society's annual competition art show and book.

Renowned opera singer and recitalist Stephanie Blythe will be the special musical guest.
