Last night at the Entertainment Community Fund, (formerly The Actors Fund) gala, they announced the $160 million ESSENTIAL Campaign: a bold and comprehensive effort that will combine all of the organization’s fundraising, allowing the Fund to serve more people in more places.

Award-Winning Film BABYLON: GHETTO, RENAISSANCE, AND MODERN OBLIVION To Screen At the Center for Jewish History
Co-sponsored by the American Society for Jewish Music's Jewish Music Forum, YIVO, the American Sephardi Federation, and Salon/Sanctuary Concerts, the award-winning film “Babylon: Ghetto, Renaissance, and Modern Oblivion” considers the resonance of Psalm 137 (By the Waters of Babylon) through the music of two ghettoized peoples – Italian Jews of Mantua during the period of the Counter-Reformation, and African Americans before, during, and after the Harlem Renaissance.
Tonight's Performance of COAL COUNTRY Cancelled
Due to a positive COVID-19 test result in the company and out of an abundance of caution, tonight’s performance of Coal Country at the Cherry Lane Theatre has been cancelled. Performances are expected to resume tomorrow, Saturday, March 26, at the matinee.
