Marco Calvani's MASPETH Set for Planet Connections Theatre Festivity Tomorrow

Planet Connections Theatre Festivity helps close out Gay Pride Month with a reading of Marco Calvani's drama Maspeth, presented on Thursday, June 30 at 8pm at the Paradise Factory, located at 64 East 4th Street. The reading is directed by Shira-Lee Shalit, with a cast that includes Christina Toth, Evgeniya Radilova and Alexander Hodge. Joe Dolce, former editor in chief of Details and Star magazines and journalist for many of the world's leading publications, including The New York Times, is hosting a Talk Back session after the production.

A NIGHT OF MACABRE AT THE HOUSE OF YES will feature special performances by burlesque chanteuse Ashley Morgan Monroe (Circus of Circus), The Love Show (Nutcracker: Rated R), Scooter Pie (Shaken and Stirred Burlesque), Go-Go Harder (Meaner, Harder, Leather), singer Juliet Campbell (of Shanghai Mermaid), musician Benjamin Ickies (of This Ambitious Orchestra), aerial acts by Airin Deskies (of Lady Circus), Nicki Miller (The Sky Box), Kae Burke (2011 New York Innovative Theatre Award for Circus of Circus), and Anya Sapozhnikova (of The House of Yes), acrobatics by Ryan Shinji Murray and fire performances by Evgeniya Radilova with surprise guest appearances, Eric Schmalenberger as his drag alter ego Miriam, and a screening of the video trailer for RKP Theatre Ensemble's upcoming show, The Tragedy of Maria Macabre.

DARE TO SPEAK PRODUCTIONS is pleased to announce the World Premiere production of I PLEAD GUILTY, written and directed by Natalia Pelevine, based on the real events of the Moscow theatre siege of 2002. It is adapted from Pelevine's play In Your Hands, which, after a successful London run, was translated into Russian and banned there by the government officials after just one performance. I PLEAD GUILTY will play a limited engagement at Gene Frankel Theater, (24 Bond Street, New York, NY 10012). Performances conclude on Sunday, May 29.
