After another amazing season, with amazing work onstage, with amazing audiences, who were in turn….amazed in 2015, What Dreams May Co in partnership with Queens Shakespeare Inc. again turns the microscope onto two of literature's most famous characters, who on the surface appear to be complete opposites. One a certain boy who will never grow up, the other one of Shakespeare's kings who has grown quite old. Yet they both seem to suffer a clear case of "Peter Pan Syndrome"; flying about from place to place, and oblivious to the destruction they leave in their wake. Players Theatre Announces Winners of Short Play Festival ONLY IN NEW YORK
Downtown New York City audiences were treated to a slice of New York life for the past three weeks as 12 playwrights crafted 15 minute plays that told a story unique to the lives and culture of New Yorkers. The Short Play Festival (SPF) is hosted by the Players Theatre three times a year, each festival feature a different theme. The June festival - Only in New York - celebrated its fourth season and honored three playwrights as the best of the week selection chosen by audience vote and three judges. Each of these three writers was awarded a $100 prize.
