Evan McGill is a two-time Tony Award and Drama Desk Award-winning theatrical and music producer with extensive experience in Broadway, West End, and Australian theatrical productions. As the founder of Evan McGill Productions, he has made significant contributions to several Broadway shows and cast albums. His career highlights include involvement in acclaimed Broadway productions such as Mr. Saturday Night, Kimberly Akimbo, Parade (2023), The Sign In Sidney Brustein’s Window (2023), The Outsiders, and Sunset Blvd (2024). Beyond Broadway, he has been involved in West End productions like Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Starlight Express (2024) and in Australian productions of Hamilton, as well as the upcoming MJ: The Musical and Beetlejuice.
In addition to his work in stage performances, McGill has produced successful Broadway cast albums, including The Music Man: The 2022 Broadway Cast Recording and Funny Girl: New Broadway Cast Recording, both of which topped the Billboard Cast Albums chart. McGill is also a general partner in Tanninger Fund II, an SEC-registered investment vehicle focused on financing theatrical and live entertainment ventures globally. His work has earned him notable accolades, including three Tony Award nominations. He won a Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical for Parade at the 76th Tony Awards and another Tony Award for Best Musical for The Outsiders (in collaboration with Tanninger Entertainment) at the 77th Tony Awards. Additionally, McGill received a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Revival of a Musical for his role in Parade.
A native of Boston, McGill began acting at the age of 6, participating in local community productions such as The Who’s Tommy and Alice In Wonderland. He graduated from the University of Miami (FL) in 2006 with a BBA, and later earned an MBA from Columbus State University and a MIB from Florida International University. Before transitioning to the theater industry, McGill was a co-owner of Knit-Rite, a Kansas City, KS-based medical device company that specialized in manufacturing various medical textiles for a wide range of patients. In December 2020, he and his partners sold the company to Thuasne, headquartered in Levallois-Perret, France.
