Olathe Civic Theatre Association continues its 2017-2018 season with Superior Donuts by Tracy Letts, Pulitzer Prize-winning author of August: Osage County. With Superior Donuts, Letts shifts from the highly charged physical tone and dark humor of his previous works, but retains his contemporary flavor with a lighter touch to address complex social issues. OCTA's stage will transform into a Chicago donut shop for the three-weekend run of this KC area premiere April 6-22.

The MTH Theater at Crown Center is pleased to announce the cast of She Loves Me, its first book musical of the season. Artistic Director Sarah Crawford will direct a fifteen person ensemble led by Kansas City favorite Lauren Braton in the role of Amalia. The remainder of the cast includes Joshua Balm, Katie Bartow, Patrick Beasley, Elizabeth Birger, Beth Borders, Andy Garrison, Dalton Homolka, Evan Lovelace, Ethan Miller, Eric Morris, Brooke Myers, Fisher Stewart, Jackson Tomlin, and Kyra Weinberger.

Author Phil S. Dixon Holds Book Signing Following TYA's 'MONARCHS' 5/15
Following Theatre for Young America's 2pm performance of The Monarchs of KC on May 15, 2010, author Phil S. Dixon will be available at 3pm to sign copies of his new book about Buck O'Neil entitled, John 'Buck' O'Neil, The Rookie, The Man, The Legacy, 1938. The book signing will take place in the lobby of the H&R Block City Stage located on level B in Union Station at 30 W. Pershing Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64108. The book will be available for purchase at that time, as well as two other of Mr. Dixon's works: Phil Dixon's American Baseball Chronicles, Great Teams, The 1931 Homestead Grays, Volume I and Wilber 'Bullet' Rogan and the Kansas City Monarchs.
