BIO

Erin first stepped foot on a stage at the age of 10 when his mother signed him up for an annual pageant that celebrated Black History month. He didn’t look back from that early taste of performing and it wouldn’t be long before Lamar was accepted into the prestigious Pinellas County Center for the Arts high school in Florida, which has graduated esteemed alumnus throughout the arts world. At the end of his senior year Erin performed Songs for a New World at the International Fringe Festival in Edinburg, Scotland. After studying acting, dance, and music, Lamar was ready for The University of the Arts in Philadelphia studying acting techniques such as the Sandford Meisner techniques under Ernest A. Losso as well as Stanislavsky, Chekov and Williamson techniques. Lamar's credits include Cupidon Murmur/ Toussaint L'Ouverture in the Philadelphia premier of A Free Man of Color directed by Matt Pfeiffer. This amazing young actor has also collaborated with the creators of Passing Strange, in which he played many roles with the 11th Hour Theater Company. Lamar was singled out for his performance as Citizen Barlow in August Wilson's Gem of the Ocean, a part he said had been a dream of his to play. His professional credits extend to playing Twig in the 2nd National and first International Tour of Bring It On: The Musical directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Andy Blankenbuehler (In The Heights and Hamilton.) After that tour Lamar traveled around the world performing as a singer and dancer for 10 months. Lamar is a proud member of the Actors' Equity Association and is represented by Avalon Artists Group.
