Time really does fly, especially when you're having fun. And, let's be honest, we have a lot of fun at Broadway Sessions. So much so that nine years has flown by ever so quickly. And what better way to celebrate nine years of hurt special brand of musical theatre mania than with an "Inappropriate" Anniversary Show. We welcomed back a roster of Broadway Sessions favorites to share wildly inappropriate tunes and memories. The results were memorable, well, for most of our audience at least ;)
FLESH & SPIRIT with Broadway Stars & More Make 2016 New York New Works Theatre Festival Finals
The third annual New York New Work Theatre Festival at the Times Square Arts Centre (300 West 43rd Street) announced today the 2016 finalists including Flesh & Spirit, Most Likely To, Palin Live, Trashman's Dilemma, World Without End and The Love Junkie. Each show will be presented at the Gala, tonight, October 5th, at 7:00 PM when the winner of the Festival will be selected.

All of these small things can be frustrating for any patron but I'll tell you this: once I sat down and saw the sheer excitement shared by both children and parents alike (albeit, the parents were undoubtedly a little overwhelmed!), I was ready to enjoy myself just as much as they were. The ambiance of a theater is just as reliant on the crowd as it is on the actors putting on the production.

Broadway Sessions returns with cast of ALADDIN on September 4, 2014. Broadway Sessions takes place every Thursday evening at The Laurie Beechman Theater inside The West Bank Cafe located at 407 west 42nd street (corner of 42nd street and 9th avenue). 212-695-6909. Directed by Scott Coulter, Broadway Rising Stars is created, hosted and written by Scott Siegel and features the brightest talent from AMDA, CAP 21, Circle in the Square, Juilliard, Marymount, The New School, NYU's Steinhardt and Tisch, Pace University, and more. The event will feature a special guest appearance by Tony Award winner Bill Irwin (Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Fool Moon).
