BIO

Eric Van Tielen, a native of Salt Lake City, Utah, is an actor and singer who moved to New York City in 2008. Shortly after arriving, he took his Equity card in the role of Matt for a co-production of 'The Fantasticks' with Syracuse Stage and Indiana Repertory Theatre. His next credit took him back to NYC and onto the Broadway stage in the musical 'A Tale of Two Cities' where he was the Male Ensemble Swing and understudy for Aaron Lazar in the role of Charles Darnay. By year's end he had landed the role of Fyedka in the National Tour of 'Fiddler on the Roof.' The tour began as Topol's farewell, but also included theatre luminaries Theo Bikel and Harvey Fierstein in the role of Tevye. Eric toured with the 25th Anniversary production of 'Les Miserables' in the role of Combeferre/Fauchelevant, also Grantaire u/s, for just over two years. He recently rejoined his Les Miz family, on Broadway, as Babet/Innkeeper. He has an Acting MFA from Indiana University.
