Harlem9 Partners with Pregones Theater PRTT for 48HOURS IN… EL BRONX

After 7 years, the producing collaborative Harlem9  has played to packed houses, picking up an OBIE award along the way in 2014.  This April, Harlem9 collaborates with Pregones Theater PRTT, a Latino arts organization in the Bronx for the 2nd time to present "48HOURS IN… EL BRONX".  The two organizations first collaborated in December 2016. This year, the theme takes a tour of some of the most memorable dance clubs in Bronx history.

David Mamet's Speed-the-Plow will travel to Puerto Rico as 'Jala-la-Pala' and will play four performances at El Corralon de San Jose in Old San Juan directed by Broadway's Luis Salgado, winner of the Best Director Award at the Thespis and Venus/Adonis Festivals for Song of Solomon and Zuccotti Park, respectively. The New York-based cast features Emmanuelle Bordas as Karen, Javier E. Downtown Urban Theater Festival Announces 2013 Season

Now in its 11th year, the Downtown Urban Theater Festival (DUTF) is becoming New York's premiere winter/spring theatre event showcasing independent theatre artists looking to bring their work to wider audiences while offering them the resources they require to succeed. The three-week festival, produced by Creative Ammo, Inc., rolls into HERE Mainstage in SoHo, NYC February 27 through March 16, 2013 with its unique brand of urban theater that provides writers from America's burgeoning multicultural landscape the opportunity to share their stories that interpret our history and our times.
Downtown Urban Theater Festival Announces Finalists for 2013 Season

Next year will mark the much-anticipated 11th annual season of the Downtown Urban Theater Festival (DUTF) and from 120 submissions, DUTF has narrowed it down to 24 finalists. The decisions were extremely difficult due to the amazing plays received from gifted emerging writers who hail from across the U.S. and internationally from Canada, Israel and the United Kingdom.
