BIO

Eoin began his acting training in Ireland by attending the Gaiety School of Acting, following which, he crossed the water and went to train in Musical Theatre at the Guildford School of Acting. Upon graduating he played the Tin Man in "The Wizard of Oz"(Hall for Cornwall, Truro) alongside Ken Dodd. Eoin’s West End début soon followed when he was chosen by director Trevor Nunn to appear in Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical "The Woman in White"(Palace Theatre, West End). In his time with the original cast he understudied and played the lead role, Walter Hartwright, alongside such musical theatre greats as Maria Friedman, Michael Crawford and Michael Ball. After this he took to the road with Riverdance where he performed as the lead male singer in their European Tour. In Dublin he was part of the Irish premiere casts of "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change!"(Andrew's Lane Theatre), and "Song's For A New World"(Pavillion Theatre). Eoin’s favourite role was yet to come, that of the Beast in Disney’s "Beauty and the Beast"(World Tour).

Over the past decade, Eoin has been very busy appearing on stages throughout Ireland. Some notable roles include: Frederick alongside June Rodgers in “The Pirates of Penzance”(Helix), the duel role of Jekyll and Hyde in the musical “Jekyll and Hyde”(National Concert Hall), Satan in “Jerry Springer – The Opera”(Grand Canal Theatre), Seán Collins in “The Promise”(Helix), Vince Fontaine in “Grease”(Cork Opera House) and on a less serious note he has starred in pantomimes such as “Sleeping Beauty”(Cork Opera House), “Cinderella”, “Jack and the Beanstalk”, “Aladdin”, “Beauty and the Beast” and “Sleeping Beauty”(Helix). Although Eoin is a performer at heart, he is also an accomplished and award-winning director having been the resident director for “Opera In The Open”, run by Dublin City Council, for the past ten years. Some notable productions include: “Madama Butterfly”, “Candide”, “Werther”, “Eugene Onegin”, “Street Scene”, “Turn of the Screw” and “Rigoletto”. As an educator, he currently holds the position of Head of Drama for the American College Dublin’s Musical Theatre Degree course.

Eoin has appeared on TV in many guises, in adverts, The Late Late Show, Fair City, Ireland AM, and more, but the show that has gained him attention in the US was that of the PBS special “The Bloody Irish”. His most notable stage roles to date are that of Michael Collins in “Michael Collins a Musical Drama”, which ran both in the Cork Opera House and the Olympia, the role of Frank McCourt in the original cast of “Angela’s Ashes the Musical”(Bord Gais Theatre, Lime Tree Theatre, Belfast Opera House), the role of Jeremiah in the hugely successful “Copper Face Jacks the Musical” (Olympia Theatre) and the role of Jervis Pendleton in the Irish premiere of “Daddy Long Legs” (Smock Alley Theatre).
