The Hangar Theatre Company to Present THE SKIN OF OUR TEETH
The Hangar Theatre Company opens its 46th summer season (and first ever virtual season), with a reading of The Skin of Our Teeth by Thornton Wilder on Saturday, May 23rd. The cast consists of over 20 artists who live in the Ithaca area, or who have appeared in a Hangar Mainstage production.

Audiences are loving The Shoe, an emotionally profound and wildly funny new play about an unusual young boy named Benoît and the adults who care for him. Québec playwright David Paquet is a recipient of the Governor General's Award for Drama and the Prix Michel Tremblay, and The Shoe is his newest play, produced at the Cherry for the first time in English.
The Cherry Artists Collective Announces English-Language Premiere Of THE SHOE
This September 26-October 6, the Cherry kicks off our production season with The Shoe by Québec playwright David Paquet. Paquet is a recipient of the Governor General's Award for Drama and the Prix Michel Tremblay, and The Shoe is his newest play, to be seen for the first time in English at the Cherry. The Shoe uses inventive magical realism to tell the funny and profound story of an unusual young boy named Benoit and the adults who care for him. The French world première won the Best Play and Playwright awards in Vancouver. Press there said the play, like Benoit himself, is 'a Kinder Surprise: you come for the comedy, but stay for the lucid observations.'
Charles Dickens' A CHRISTMAS CAROL Opens This Sunday
The Hangar Theatre Company presents its second annual production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol at the Hangar Theatre in Ithaca with public performances running December 2-23, 2018. Opening performances are this Sunday, December 2, at 2 and 7 p.m.
Seacoast Repertory Theatre's THE UPSIDE OF BEING DOWN Closes
The Teen Stage ensemble of Seacoast Repertory Theatre has doubled in size since last year with the new youth department directors Miles Burns and Grady O'Neil. The Rep's Teen Stage Ensemble is a group comprised of 16 Seacoast teenagers who all share the same passion for theatre. Through workshops and exercises the Teen Stage Ensemble (or TSE) works to produce a completely original show each year.
