BIO
Emily Rosenfeld is a young actor, singer and dancer based in Westchester, New York. She is over the moon and beyond thrilled to be making her Broadway debut as MOLLY in this all-new production of “ANNIE”. Emily has had the desire to play this role in this iconic show ever since she can remember. She is looking forward to the opportunity to work with the incredibly talented cast and creative team. This is truly a dream come true!
Emily began her love affair with performing when she was 3 years old, at Star Kidz performing arts program and hasn’t stopped since. Earlier in Emily’s career, she acted in several Random Farms productions at the Tarrytown Music Hall. Favorite roles include: Gretl von Trapp in "The Sound of Music", Dickon Sowerby in "The Secret Garden", Michael Darling in "Peter Pan" and Big Jule in "Guys and Dolls". During this past holiday season, Emily was thrilled to be a part of an Off-Broadway, Actor’s Fund benefit reading of “Miracle on 34th Street, The Musical”. She was privileged to have worked alongside award-winning actor, Jim Brochu, and other accomplished Broadway actors.
In addition to performing in the theater, Emily has had the opportunity to hone her skills doing industrials, commercials and voiceovers. Look for her in an upcoming NY Lottery commercial and check out some photos from her work on the gallery page of her website.
Emily is a passionate singer with a big voice! She enjoys her training with Amelia DeMayo and Gulnara Mitzanova and always looks forward to mastering new material. Emily is also a member of the Broadway Youth Ensemble (BYE). This New York City based choral ensemble’s membership includes a select group of child performers. As part of BYE, Emily has shared the stage with Emmy Award winning composer, Glen Roven; country singer, Lisa Matassa (Vets Rock Concert); and opera singer, Lauren Flanigan. She also has had the opportunity to perform with BYE at both Symphony Space and Urban Stages in New York City.
You can often find Emily in the studio, working with some of the best dance instructors. She loves all genres of dance, including: Ballet, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Tap and Hip-Hop. Acrobatics is a favorite too - and she has been perfecting her cartwheels and splits. Special thanks to her committed dance teachers: Janine Molinari (Dance Molinari), Gail Pennington Crutchfield (Shuffles), Cynthia Birdwell (Ballet Academy East) and Alex Molinari and his team (Prime Time Tumbling).
Although Emily focuses on performing, she still has many other interests. Enthusiastic about art, Emily regularly paints, sculpts and draws like her grandmother, a professional artist. Emily also composes music and lyrics, has authored original plays and is in the process of directing a play with her classmates. When she has time, she can be seen playing shortstop on her local Little League team and was twice awarded the Presidential Fitness Award.
Most important to Emily is the love and encouragement she receives from her supportive and close-knit family. She couldn’t do it without them!
