Charles Flateman Announced as Chairman of the Board of NYC & Company
NYC & Company Chairman of the Board of Directors Emily K. Rafferty has announced her decision to step down from her chairmanship in February 2020. When Rafferty leaves her post next year, she will have served as Board Chairman of the organization for nearly 12 years and presided over a tourism industry that has enjoyed 10 consecutive years of growth. In accordance with NYC & Company's bylaws, the organization's Executive Committee today voted to elect longstanding Vice Chairman Charles Flateman, Executive Vice President of the Shubert Organization, to fill the remaining portion of Emily Rafferty's term, through February 2021.

Metropolitan Museum of Art Appoints New President
(New York, March 10, 2015)—The Metropolitan Museum of Art announced today that Daniel H. Weiss, an innovative executive and accomplished art historian serving currently as president of Haverford College, will be the next President of the Museum. He will succeed Emily Kernan Rafferty, who will retire from the Met on March 31 after 10 years in the post, and nearly 40 at the institution. Dr. Weiss' appointment was announced by Daniel Brodsky, Chairman of the Board, and Thomas P. Campbell, Director and CEO.

Today, The Metropolitan Museum of Art held a press briefing at the Palace Museum in Beijing, China, about its spring 2015 Costume Institute exhibition, China: Through the Looking Glass. The exhibition, on view at the Met from May 7 to August 16, will explore how Chinese art and film have influenced Western fashion design for centuries. Thomas P.
