Cabaret patroness Madame Mathieu has selected Alyssa Fox (Frozen, Wicked) and Joseph Medeiros (Three Tall Women, West Side Story) as guests of honor at the January edition of the Bistro Awards Critics' Pick Madame's Soiree. This will be the kickoff of the show's fourth season at The Duplex. The Broadway duo will be joined on the program by a distinguished group of emerging artists from a variety of disciplines.

Mayor Supported Houston Airport System's “Harmony In The Air” Program Fights For Funding

Houston performing arts groups and supporters of the Houston Airport System's "Harmony in the Air" program will appear at the city council public session on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 starting at 2:00 pm on the second floor of City Hall to defend the funding for the successful program which invites professional Houston classical and jazz music groups to perform in the airport including: Ars Lyrica Houston, Axiom Quartet, Apollo Chamber Players, The Dancewicz-Doucet Duo, The Gerling-Mut Duo, Solero Flamenco, Tony Henry, Mystery Loves Company, Divisi Strings, Eddie Akhmetchine Trio, Pamela York Trio, Musiqa, Retrospect, Bob Chadwick Trio, EC Entertainment representing: Emily Klein, Melvin Johnson & The Electro- Acoustics Band, Rainel Joubert Duo Mark Prause Piano. The scheduled funding vote has been postponed twice due to some city council members resistance.
