Born in Richmond, Virginia, Emily was raised in a Southern family with Gospel roots and Friday Night Lights. NYC select credits: Bard City’s Antony & Cleopatra (Classic Stage), 20th Anniversary Production of As Is (Theatre Row), and originating the title character in Kentucky Madam, an immersive theatrical experience. Regional select credits: Holiday (Arena Stage), Mamma Mia! (La Mirada), Honky Tonk Laundry (Hippodrome), Shrek the Musical and Side Show (3-D Theatricals), Beauty & the Beast and Evita (Musical Theatre West). She also toured as an original cast member of the re-imagined Footloose (Norwegian Creative). Starring roles in film and tv include The Re-Renaissance, Kaleidoscope and the long-running hit, A Haunting. EKB graduated from Shenandoah Conservatory with a BFA in Music Theatre and holds a Certificate from The Moscow Art Theatre School, after which she continued study with MxAT's Ilja Bocharnikovs. Additional training includes UCB Improv, Killian's Commercial Workshop and Master Classes with Broadway performers, including Alice Ripley, Tituss Burgess, Garrett Long, and Aaron Galligan-Stierle. Emily has studied voice, pedagogy, and choral studies with Jeanette Lovetri, Donna Gullstrand, Deen Entsminger, Rebecca Tyree and James Smith.
