The New School's College of Performing Arts Will Host MACE Concert
For its first performance of the season, MACE gives the world premiere of Short Story No. 1 – a new work by Mannes student Ryan Brideau, alongside Treibstoff by Carola Bauckholt, Of Being is a Bird by Augusta Read Thomas, Enclosed Position by Matthew Ricketts, Shadowgraph 5 (for sextet) by George Lewis, and Dérive by Pierre Boulez.
New Shows With Brian Glowacki, Crystal Ship, and More Come to the Spire Center
The Spire Center for Performing Arts in Plymouth, Massachusetts announced four new shows. Massachusetts comedian Brian Glowacki will perform on January 10, tribute band to The Doors Crystal Ship will play on January 18, and the funk and soul instrumental band O'Neal Armstrong will perform on January 23. On January 25, Massachusetts rock band Vapors of Morphine will play.

Centering on the newly elected president Woodrow Wilson, the story delves into how the Women’s Suffrage Parade pushed him to finally agree to Voting Rights for All. English professor Rachel Feder has teamed up with musical theater performer Tiffany Tatreau on the book, which unpacks the literature that inspired Swift’s song lyrics across her entire catalog.

The Frist Art Museum has announced its 2025 schedule of exhibitions. In the Ingram Gallery, the year begins with Farm to Table: Art, Food, and Identity in the Age of Impressionism, an exhibition featuring works by Rosa Bonheur, Claude Monet, Camille Pissarro, and more that explores the intersections of art, gastronomy, and national identity in late 19th-century France.
