The Gershwins s'wonderful musical My One and Only tap dances its way onto the Wagner College Theatre Mainstage from February 21-March 3, 2019, under the direction of Ann Neiman (WCT's 42nd Street and Into the Woods), with choreography by John Scacchetti (Broadway's 42nd Street and Gypsy revivals) and music direction by David Sisco (WCT's Hair and La Cage aux Folles).

The Newsboys Are on Their Way to Surflight Theatre
Surflight is thrilled to be presenting Disney's Newsies, the third show in the exciting 2017 season. Newly reopened for 2017 Surflight has been overjoyed with the overwhelming response and tickets sales for its first two shows Footloose and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat as well as its Children's Theatre series and Show Place old fashioned performing ice cream parlour. Surflight's production of Newsies , directed and Choreographed by Paula Hammons Sloan, Assistant Choreographer Liz Troxler and Musical Direction by Michael McAssey, will be the New Jersey Regional premiere.

'Footloose' follows a Chicago teen, Ren McCormack, who recently moved to a small town where dancing and rock music have been banned. As he struggles to fit in, he also fights to change the minds of the conservative Reverend Shaw Moore and the entire town. The music is written by Tom Snow with lyrics by Dean Pitchford and additional lyrics by Kenny Loggins. The book is by Pitchford and Walter Bobbie.

Surflight Theatre under the leadership of Producing Artistic Director Steve Steiner and under the new ownership of Al Parinello (Producer The People in the Picture, The Fantasticks) will be reopening officially after a 2 year closure and bankruptcy liquidation on June 23rd with the musical sensation Footloose based on the 1980's blockbuster movie of the same name. With mega hits like Holding Out for a Hero, Almost Paradise , Let's Hear it for the Boy and of course the title track Footloose, the musical is sure to thrill the Long Beach Island audiences with its unforgettable score, vibrant dancing and poignant story of youth, rebellion and family.
HEATHERS the Musical at the Open Air Theatre for One Weekend
Hilarity and homicide are center stage when Heathers the Musical comes to the Washington Crossing Open Air Theatre for one weekend. Based on the classic 1989 cult film, 'Heathers' starring Winona Rider and Christian Slater, the darkly delicious musical will be performed on Friday, July 29, Saturday, July 30 and Sunday, July 31 at 7:30. Presented by the alumni of the Downtown Performing Arts Center of Lambertville, N.J., Heathers the Musical is for mature audiences.

?Musical revues have become a popular offering at the Open Air Theatre and co-Artistic Directors Louis Palena and Jordan Brennan have created a brand new concert featuring songs from stage and movie musicals. From Stage To Screen will be performed on Friday, June 10, Saturday, June 11 and Sunday, June 12 at 7:30 pm.
CATS to Play MCCC's Kelsey Theatre in March
"Cats," Andrew Lloyd Webber's magical musical homage to the feline world, comes to Mercer County Community College's (MCCC's) Kelsey Theatre in March. Playful Theatre Productions will present nine performances over three weekends, including four matinees. Dates and show times for evening performances are: Fridays, March 13 and 27 at 8 p.m., and Saturdays, March 14, 21 and 28 at 8 p.m. Matinees will be presented on Sunday, March 15, Saturday, March 21, Sunday, March 22 and Sunday, March 29 at 2 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is located on MCCC's West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road. An opening night reception with the cast and crew follows the March 13 performance.
