The Workshop Theater Hosts Honor Roll! At Their Spring 2023 Workshop Intensive
The Workshop Theater has, once again, dedicated a session of their Spring 2023 Workshop Intensive to HONOR ROLL!, an advocacy group for women+ playwrights over 40. The participants for this cycle are Diane Davis, Donna Hoke, Hortense Gerardo and Serena Norr with facilitators Leslie Kincaid Burby and Stephanie Kane.

The winner of the 2018 Emanuel Fried Award for Outstanding New Play, SONS & LOVERS by Donna Hoke is an engaging comedy about Ellen, a middle-aged woman at a crossroads in her life. Ellen knows the score – her son is gay, and her husband is cheating – but it’s so much easier to pretend than to talk about it. It takes fantasy, farce, and one fabulous mother and son discover just how makeover before the truth flies free, much they have in common, and Ellen realizes the reality she’s been avoiding most is her own.

RLTP Sets National & Regional Playwright Residencies
Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP) has announced its new National Playwright Residency program, offering the opportunity for new play development support to playwrights across the United States. Since 2003, RLTP has developed and produced plays by writers working in Western New York; now, RLTP seeks to increase its impact on the American new play field by supporting playwrights outside of WNY.
RLTP & Saginaw Valley State University Form Educational Partnership
Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP) is excited to announce The RLTP BETA Program (BETA), a new play development model that provides a collaborative workshop environment for playwrights, theatre students, and faculty, culminating in a fully realized production of new works. BETA launches this year in partnership with Saginaw Valley State University who will host a visiting Western New York playwright while their work-in-progress is produced in conjunction with SVSU students.

NCCC to Present Jon Elston's THE ELLIPTICAL, Begin. 4/2
WNY playwright and RLTP Ensemble Member Jon Elston will see his play The Elliptical - which debuted at the Road Less Traveled Theater in 2008 -staged in a new production at Niagara County Community College (NCCC). The play is part of a double-bill titled Lost Time which will open Wednesday, April 2nd.
