Pianist Daniel Gortler And Violinist Daniel Guedes In Concert
The Jewish Museum will present Israeli-American pianist Daniel Gortler and Brazilian violinist Daniel Guedes performing the music of Ludwig van Beethoven, Edward Grieg, and contemporary Brazilian composer Mozart Camargo Guarnieri on Thursday, May 16 at 8 pm. This is Mr. Gortler's fifth appearance at the Jewish Museum, and Mr. Guedes's first.

The upcoming 27th annual The Donald M. Ephraim Palm Beach Jewish Film Festival will present movies from around the world, opening with ON THE MAP, the true story of Israel's 1977 basketball team, the first to ever bring the coveted European Cup to Israel. Film director Dani Menkin and basketball legend Tal Brody will attend and participate in a post-film discussion at the January 19 screening at the Kravis Center's Cohen Pavilion.

Daniel Gortler, Lauren Flanigan & David Adam Moore to Perform at Jewish Museum, 12/10
The Jewish Museum will present The Word: Spoken, Sung, and Played, a concert featuring acclaimed Israeli pianist Daniel Gortler with internationally renowned vocalists Lauren Flanigan (as narrator) and David Adam Moore (baritone) in a performance of Johannes Brahms's The Fair Magelone (Die schone Magelone) on Thursday, December 10 at 7:30pm. During the second half of the program, soprano Lauren Flanigan will sing Luciano Berio's 'A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man' from Epifanie with Daniel Gortler. This will be Ms. Flanigan's first public New York City performance since 2010 when she was diagnosed with sudden sensorineural hearing loss (SSHL). To conclude, Mr. Gortler, who has delighted audiences and critics with his concerts around the world and received praise for his technical mastery and musical ingenuity, will perform Franz Schubert's Three Piano Pieces for solo piano.
The Jewish Museum Will Feature THE WIND UP: THE POWER OF PICTURES on 11/19
The Jewish Museum presents The Wind Up: The Power of Pictures, the next in its popular series of after-hours events, on Thursday, November 19 from 8pm to 11pm. Featuring live music, a photo booth, and an open bar with beer, wine, and vodka, The Wind Up is inspired by The Power of Pictures: Early Soviet Photography, Early Soviet Film, which explores how early modernist photography influenced a new Soviet style while energizing and expanding the nature of the medium. The evening includes a performance by the raucous dance band Romashka, fronted by Lithuanian-born singer Inna Barmash, and a set by DJ Spinach, known for his unique mixture of world music sounds. There will also be special exhibition tours of The Power of Pictures at 8:30pm and 9:30pm.
The Jewish Museum Kicks Off 'REVOLUTION OF THE EYE' Summer Programs
In conjunction with the Jewish Museum's exhibition, Revolution of the Eye: Modern Art and the Birth of American Television, on view through September 20, 2015, the Jewish Museum, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and Cooper Union are co-presenting a series of programs from May to July.
