Her short play Bernie and Carlo Play Canasta, about Bernie Madoff’s prison hallucinations of Carlo Ponzi was filmed for and posted to YouTube by Actors Studio director Scott Klavan in October 2020. How I Spent My Quarantine (a monologue), Waiting It Out, Life of the Party or Who Can Forget Sally Rogers?, Lizzie Borden Gets Engaged, and Waiting for the Wave have been posted, Zoomcast, or Facebook-cast during the pandemic by the Fifth Avenue Theatre, Metal Rabbit (U.K.), Theatre in My Pajamas, Shawnee Playhouse, and the Quarantined Theatre Company, respectively.
Ellen Abrams' full-length play Eleanor and Alice: Conversations Between Two Remarkable Roosevelts, about cousins and 20th-century political powerhouses Eleanor and Alice Roosevelt, is to be produced by Urban Stages as a one-hour audio play from March 18th-23rd; it was presented as a reading at the Roosevelt House (NYC), the Franklin Roosevelt Historic Site (Hyde Park, NY), and the Emerging Artists Theatre’s (E.A.T.) New Work Series (NYC). Her full-length play Intentions was chosen as a semi-finalist by both the O'Neill Playwrights Conference and the New American Voices Reading Series. Hamlet Investigations, Inc. was staged by the Bobcat Players Community Theatre (Beaver, PA); it has also been adapted into a mini-opera opera by the Boston Opera Collective, won first place in the True Acting Institute's Best Ten-Minute Plays competition, and was published by Smith and Kraus. It was also presented by E.A.T., as was a reading of her one-hour, one-act play Handsome, about Rock Hudson's brief marriage in the 1950s, told through the eyes of his ex-wife, Phyllis Gates. It was a finalist in Garry Marshall Theatre’s New Works Festival and the Scribe Theatre competition. Her short play Eulogy(s) was produced at Rhino Theatre's One-Act Jamboree (Pompton Lakes, NJ). Her play, Metonym Or the Almost Completely False Story Behind the Creation of Roget's Thesaurus was produced by the Secret Theatre (Long Island City, NY) as well as at the Manhattan Repertory Theatre (NYC). Her short play, Relations, was produced as an audio-only play by the Ten-Minute Taste Festival (Washington, DC) and E.A.T., as was a reading of a full-length comedy, The Ransom of Rona. Another play, On the Couch, about the impeachment of the 45th president of the United States, was presented as a reading by E.A.T.
