Geva Announces Line-Up for Festival of New Theatre 2017
Geva Theatre Center unveils its line-up for the Festival of New Theatre 2017 to be held in the Fielding Stage from October 25 November 5. FONT 2017 is a vibrant and innovative mix of new works by some of the most exciting playwrights from across the country and around the corner and is part of Geva's ongoing commitment to developing and producing new work for the American theatre.

BWW Review: The Long Island Premiere of THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY at Theatre Three
Kicking off what is sure to be a dazzling 48th season, Theatre Three offers the Long Island premiere of The Bridges Of Madison County. The Tony winner runs at the Port Jefferson venue through October 28th excellently directed by Theatre Three's Artistic Director Jeffrey Sanzel boasting a top notch cast. The best piece of advice I could give? Be prepared for a rollercoaster of emotions.

It is truly a pleasure seeing Shrek, The Musical. Based on the sure-to-be-classic DreamWorks Animation motion picture, the superb incarnation at Theatre Three in Port Jefferson boasts a truly remarkable cast. Running through June 25th, Jeffrey Sanzel wonderfully directs the large, talented company that is led by Danny Stalter - in his Theatre Three debut - as our favorite green ogre.

As often as Godspell is presented, I always encourage seeing it again particularly when you have a cast as superb as Theatre Three's. Magical Music for Life Foundation will present its fourth annual TUNES IN TIMES SQUARE benefit concert Sunday, May 3, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. on the Broadway Pedestrian Plaza between 46th & 47th Streets in Times Square. This event will be a continuous sing-a-thon, with members of the Broadway community, talented children & groups from the tri-state area, and the Magical Music singing groups taking turns on the stage.

On April 27, at 7:00 p.m., a cabaret performance entitled Songs of Our Youth: Samantha Blaire Cutler and Sam Poon, will be performed at Don't Tell Mama, 343 West 46th Street, New York, NY. The show will feature Sam Poon ( The King and I, Macbeth, Billy Elliot, Les Miserables) and Samantha Blaire Cutler ( Billy Elliot, Orange is the New Black, Sisters). Special guests joining Sam and Sam will be friends from stage and television and the Professional Performing Arts School including: Jibreel Mawry ( Motown the Musical), Brionna Trilling ( Billy Elliot), Ella Watts ( The Sound of Music Live), Saoirse Dempsey and Katya Urban.

The Von Trapp Children of NBC's Sound of Music Live! will be coming to 54 Below on Dec. 17. The 9:30 PM concert will feature Ariane Rinehart (Liesl), Michael Nigro (Fredrich), Ella Watts (Louisa), Grace Rundhaug (Marta), Peyton Ella (Gretl), and standbys Meg Donnelly, Presley Ryan, Mia Sinclair Jenness. From starring in Justin Timberlake's "Mirrors" music video to Broadway's Les Miserables and more, these young actors are on the rise to stardom. Laura Luc will direct with music direction by Sinai Tabak.

BWW Reviews: North Fork Community Theatre's INTO THE WOODS
Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Tony award winning musical Into the Woods is produced fairly consistently since it premiered on Broadway in 1987. This certainly puts a great deal of pressure on the cast to breathe new life into this theatre staple. Fortunately, Director Brett Chizever, in a strong directorial debut, got the right cast to create a wonderful incarnation of the theatre staple.
