Jewish Plays Project Welcomes Clea Alsip, Gus Birney, Grantham Coleman And More To New Plays In Development
The Jewish Plays Project has announced the acting company of the 10th Annual Jewish Playwriting Contest. The ten works feature acclaimed actors including Clea Alsip (M. Butterfly, Nantucket Sleigh Ride), Gus Birney (Dickinson, The Mist), Twinkle Burke (Gotham, Bull), Grantham Coleman (The Great Society, Much Ado About Nothing), and more.

Three Musketeers: 1941 is a part of Project Y Theatre's fourth annual four-week long Women in Theatre Festival, celebrating new plays and innovative performances by diverse female artists.

Project Y Theatre Company gave Broadway World an exclusive sneak peek into rehearsals for their World Premiere of Megan Monaghan Rivas' Three Musketeers: 1941, co-directed by Michole Biancosino and Andrew W. Smith, which is being presented as part of the fourth annual Women in Theatre Festival, June 5-29 at the Jeffrey and Paula Gural Theatre at the A.R.T./New York Theatres (502 West 53rd Street New York, NY 10019).
THE WOLVES Launches Capital Stage's 14th Season
Capital Stage launches its 14th season with the Sacramento Premiere of the 2017 Pultizer Prize Finalist The Wolves by Sarah DeLappe. This dramatic comedy follows nine teenage girls that make up the Wolves, an indoor soccer team, warming up before each game of the season. As they warm up and talk about life, the girls navigate the politics of their personal lives as well as politics of the larger world. Each team member struggles to discover their individuality while being part of the group. The resulting bonds that form are clear and undeniable. The Wolves will be directed by renowned Bay Area Actor and Director Nancy Carlin. It will be the first production of Capital Stage's 2018/19 Season: #SearchingForAmerica. Performances will run from August 29 - September 30, 2018 with a Press Opening today, September 1, 2018 at 8:00 pm.
