Palo Alto Players, the first theatre company on the Peninsula, will hold its annual gala fundraiser on Saturday, June 25, 2022, 12-3pm, at the Palo Alto Art Center Sculpture Garden, 1313 Newell Road, Palo Alto. At the Very, Merry Unbirthday Mad Tea Party, guests are invited to join their host the Mad Hatter for a spot of tea in a beautiful outdoor garden setting, dress in their favorite Alice in Wonderland-inspired attire, and enjoy off the wall foods and drinks catered by Tea Traditions, accompanied by entertainment that is sure to delight.

The evening titled PLAY! celebrates the inner child in all of us, featuring grown-up versions of childhood favorite cuisine and games, special performances from Palo Alto Players' local actors, and an original, completely improvised show whose title will be chosen by the audience that evening. All proceeds from the event will be used to further the company's mission of providing high quality performing arts programming to the community with exclusively local artists, and to expand the organization's community outreach initiatives. With music & lyrics by Andrew Lippa and book by John August, this tender tribute to family and the magic of storytelling is a feast for the eyes, as well as the heart.
