Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is pleased to announce the success of the premiere concert reading of the first act of DreamWorks Theatricals new stage adaptation of The Prince of Egypt which was part of Bay Street Theater's 24th Annual Summer Gala which took place in Sag Harbor at the Long Wharf on July 11, 2015 to benefit Bay Street's educational and theatrical programs. ThePrince of Egypt features book by Philip LaZebnik (writer of Mulan, Pocahontas) and music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (composer of Wicked,Pippin, Godspell); both creators attended the Gala. Bay Street's Artistic Director Scott Schwartz directed the reading, Dominic Amendum was Musical Director, and casting was by Stewart/Whitley.

BroadwayWorld previously announced that Bay Street Theater & Dreamworks Theatricals would be presenting a concert reading of the musical adaptation of THE PRINCE OF EGYPT today, July 11. Featuring book by Philip LaZebnik (Mulan, Pocahontas), and music & lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Pippin, Godspell, The Hunchback of Notre Dame), the concert stars Norm Lewis and Aaron Lazar. Lazar tweeted a pic of the cast together today, with the caption, 'It's concert time!' Check it out below!

Bay Street Theatre's new educational program, LITERATURE LIVE!, kicked off with THE DIARY OF Anne Frank, playing now through November 21. The show runs weekdays at various times (to accommodate school groups) and Saturday evenings at 7pm. All shows are open to the public, as well as to groups from schools, churches and synagogues. Tickets are $10 and $15.
