BIO

Elizabeth Kensek splits her time between NYC and Dallas, TX. She is the Artistic Associate of Theatre 4the People in NYC. Film: Pan Am, White Lies. Selected NYC Theater credits: Twelfth Night (Viola/Cesario), The Cradle Will Rock (Sister Mister), Arms and the Octopus (Chastity) as well as the premiere and cast recording of Show Choir! the Musical (Tracey). Selected regional and touring credits include Graceland (Anna), Magnum's Opus (Rifka Rabin), Annie (Grace), How To Succeed in Business… (Rosemary), My Fair Lady (Eliza Doolittle), Thoroughly Modern Millie (Miss Dorothy), Ten Little Indians (Vera Cauthorne), The Music Man (Marian), Beauty & the Beast (Belle), She Loves Me (Amalia), Guys & Dolls (Sarah Brown), Nunsense (Sr. Mary Amnesia), You Can’t Take It With You (Alice) and the title role in Gypsy. Elizabeth is a magna cum laude graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University and a member of Matthew Corozine Studio in NYC. Proud member of Actors Equity Association.

This was the organization’s first gala event in over 3 years. The celebration was held Saturday, April 23, 2022, at the elegant Venue Forty 50, in Addison, Texas.

Uptown Players will open their season with Harvey Fierstein's Torch Song, a new two-act revival of Fierstein's original 1983 Torch Song Trilogy. As the original title indicates, “Torch Song Trilogy” consisted of three plays when it originally opened on Broadway and was trimmed to two-acts for an off-Broadway revival in 2018 that later tranfered to Broadway in 2019.
