2023 Lowell Folk Festival Folk Craft Area Is “Carrying Traditional Knowledge Forward” July 28-30
The 2023 Lowell Folk Festival (July 28-30) expects to welcome as many as 150,000 visitors to 3 days of music, dance, crafts, food, and family fun, celebrating a diverse range of folk arts. The Folk Craft Area, titled Apprenticeships: Carrying Traditional Knowledge Forward, focuses on the central role that the relationship between mentor and apprentice plays in keeping folk craft traditions alive.

Virginia Rep Presents THE GAME'S AFOOT: HOLMES FOR THE HOLIDAYS
Virginia Rep opens Ken Ludwig's holiday whodunit The Game's Afoot: Holmes for the Holidays on Friday, November 30 at the Hanover Tavern, the first show of the 2018-19 Hanover Season. This "murderously funny" farce follows Broadway star William Gillette, admired worldwide for his portrayal of Sherlock Holmes, as he must reprise his role in order to solve the mystery of his own attempted murder during holiday festivities with his castmates. The show runs through January 6, 2019 at the Hanover Tavern, 13181 Hanover Courthouse Road, Hanover, Virginia 23069.

ArtsWest Presents Seattle Premiere of NEXT FALL, Now thru 4/6
Next Fall tells the story of two men in a committed, long-term relationship and the family and friends that are an intrinsic part of their lives. This 2010 Tony Award-nominated play provides a deep examination of faith, commitment, unconditional love and hope. It challenges the audience to consider what it means 'to believe' and what it can cost us if we don't. Next Fall runs from now through April 6, 2013 at ArtsWest Playhouse and Gallery in West Seattle.
