BIO

Eli Kaplan-Wildmann lives in Jerusalem and works in theater in Israel and New York. Work stateside includes designs for off-Broadway’s Tricks the Devil Taught Me, the Carlebach musical Soul Doctor and work on designs for NBC, Mtv and the Toy Fair. He designed for the Lincoln Center Director’s Lab and taught at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts as well as the 2011 Prague Quadrennial where he was invited to conduct a workshop. He studied design and directing for theater at NYU. In Israel he directed the first full production of "Hairspray" in the country, and his favorite design credits there include Opera Camera’s Dido and Aeneas, JEST’s Pygmalion and his most theatrical endeavor of all – a drill sergeant in the Navy.
