IF I GIVE YOU MY SORROWS Premieres at Space 124 at Project Artaud
Flyaway Productions has announced the world premiere of IF I GIVE YOU MY SORROWS, an apparatus-based dance with an accompanying exhibition of visual art. Presented in partnership with Empowerment Avenue and the Museum of the African Diaspora (MoAD), Flyaway's newest project advances the company's multi-year exploration of the experiences of people impacted by incarceration.

Meet Us Quickly is presented in partnership with the Museum of the African Diaspora (MoAD) and through CounterPulse's curated co-production program.
The Black Choreographers Festival Returns February 22
The African & African American Performing Arts Coalition and K*Star*Productions are proud to announce the 16th annual Black Choreographers Festival: Here and Now (BCF), which will take place over three consecutive weekends, February 22 a?" March 8, in San Francisco and Oakland. Following the opening at SAFEhouse Arts in San Francisco, the Festival will move to Dance Mission Theater, with the final program at Laney College Theater in Oakland, March 7 a?" 8. All performances begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 to $30 and may be purchased online via direct links at bcfhereandnow.com.
THE BLACK CHOREOGRAPHER's FESTIVAL Summer Series Begins 9/7
In association with the African & African American Performing Arts Coalition, K*Star*Productions is pleased to announce the Black Choreographers Festival (BCF): Summer Series, September 7 a?" 8, at the Malonga Casquelourd Center for the Arts in Oakland. Starting at 8 p.m. on Saturday the 7th, the program will feature works by Kendra Kimbrough Barnes, Gregory Dawson and Reginald Savage, among others. Sunday's show starts at 3 p.m., and features more than half a dozen pre-professional youth dance groups from around the Bay Area, including Frankie Lee Peterson III, New Style Motherlode, Oakland School for the Arts, On Demand, Sweat and Zaccho Youth Dance Company.

Jo Kreiter Launches THE DECARCERATION TRILOGY in April 2019
Flyaway Productions is proud to announce the world premiere of THE WAIT ROOM, a site-specific dance honoring women with incarcerated loved ones. The Wait Room runs April 19 - 27, 2019, at 1125 Market Street, a vacant lot opposite United Nations Plaza at the Civic Center, with six performances at 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday, April 19 - 20, 26 - 27, and Wednesday and Thursday, April 24 - 25. Two additional matinees will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 20 and 27. All performances are free with no advance reservation required.
