BIO

Eiko Kawashima was born in Akasaka, Tokyo where she began her acting career as a teenager.

In 2004, she joined the famous Japanese theater company, BUNGAKUZA, and in 2005, the TEATRU ECHO company. In addition to theater she has studied dance, action, TATE(Japanese fencing), improvisation, dubbing, Commedia dell'arte and voice.

Since coming to NY in 2008 she has continued her theater studies primarily at HB studios with Austin Pendleton and Michael Blake. She also attended New York University to perfect her English.

nocturne is proud to present their debut creation, Witness the Beginning, an immersive experience that examines humanity in its purest form. The performance will occur for one-night-only tonight, October 10, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. The event will take place in a secret Brooklyn warehouse near the Gowanus Canal. The exact location will be revealed to the public one week before the show. Audience members are invited to stay after the performance for a post-show celebration with an open bar, live music by Alter, and a DJ set by PennyWild, both New York-based artists.
