The Des Moines Community Playhouse is approaching its 100th anniversary, and is starting the celebration early with a special performance to be held each year leading up to the big day. Today and tomorrow, Mar. 4-5, the Playhouse will begin the trip down memory lane with 'Countdown to 100: A Musical Revue of the '60s and '70s.'

DM Playhouse Reveals 2015 Dionysos Award Winners!
The Des Moines Community Playhouse held the 2015 Dionysos Awards on Sunday, July 26. The theatre honored 18 backstage, front-of-house, and education volunteers, and announced six acting award winners.

But when their eldest child, Wednesday (Marisa Spahn), the ultimate princess of darkness, falls in love with a sweet, smart young man, Lucas Beineke (Andrew Rubenbauer), everything makes a sudden change. As if her flourishing love weren't enough, Wednesday confides in her father, who must keep the secret from his beloved wife, Morticia, something he's never done before. This kooky musical proves how an entire family can change when a daughter falls in love.
