Drummer Pat Petrillo to Release 'Power Station Sessions' With Nile Rodgers
Pat Petrillo has long been recognized as one of the most versatile and prolific drummers on the scene. He has worked with a wide array of artists from diverse genres, including Patti LaBelle, Gloria Gaynor, Chieli Minucci, and Ed Hamilton as well as numerous Broadway shows, from A Chorus Line, to Newsies, to the national tour of Dreamgirls.

BWW Review: Order Up! WAITRESS National Tour at Boston Opera House
Nearly three years after it premiered at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, and while still enjoying a successful run on Broadway, the national tour of WAITRESS is serving customers at the Boston Opera House as part of the Lexus Broadway In Boston 2017-2018 season. The Diane Paulus-driven and directed production is adapted from the 2007 motion picture of the same name written by Adrienne Shelly, with book by Jessie Nelson, and music and lyrics by Sara Bareilles. The Broadway designers are on board to bring the same creative elements to the tour, and a handful of the cast has also performed with the show on the Great White Way.

Presented by Live From Lincoln Center, each evening showcases one of these leading voices of musical theater while illuminating their musical journeys to stardom, revisiting favorite songs, and offering glimpses of future projects.

A historically-based show debuted in New York off-Broadway and was an immediate hit. 6 months later the show graduated to a run on Broadway and was nominated for 16 Tony Awards, winning 11 - including Best Musical - along with winning awards in music and literature. That musical then made a Chicago residency debut last year along with launching a national tour. That show was called Hamilton. Now that energy and passion for this kind of theatre is being brought to Crown Point Community Theatre with their new one-off show titled Hysterical Figures - an event where a large group of artists write, rehearse and perform a series of original historically-based plays in one day - on Saturday June 3rd @ 7:30 PM .
