Chautauqua Theater to Present THE GLOW OVERHEAD as Final 2016 Signature Staged Reading
Chautauqua Theater Company (CTC) continues its significant commitment to new play development under the co-leadership of Artistic Directors Vivienne Benesch and Andrew Borba with Signature Staged Readings of The Glow Overhead written by Nick Gandiello, and directed by Sherri Eden Barber, running August 3 - 5 as part of the 2016 season's New Play Workshop. The Glow Overhead plays on the Bratton Theater stage at the Chautauqua Institution.
Andrea McArdle & Sally Struthers Will Star in Ogunquit Playhouse's ANYTHING GOES
The Ogunquit Playhouse sets sail with the delightful, Tony Award-winning Anything Goes June 15 to July 9. This splendid madcap musical comedy stars Broadway's Andrea McArdle as Reno Sweeney and features two-time Emmy Award winner Sally Struthers as Evangeline Harcourt. The pair are currently leading ANYTHING GOES at Gateway Performing Arts Center.

Opening Night is tonight, October 8. The world premiere of INDECENT is a co-production with La Jolla Playhouse, where it will play November 13-December 10.

Richard Topol Stars as Yogi Berra in Primary Stages' BRONX BOMBERS, Beg. Tonight
Primary Stages has announced that Richard Topol (Broadway's The Normal Heart, The Merchant of Venice) will assume the role of Yogi Berra in their World Premiere production of Bronx Bombers, written and directed by Tony Award nominee Eric Simonson (Broadway's Lombardi). Due to artistic differences, Joe Pantoliano, initially announced to play the role of Yogi Berra, will not continue with the production. The production has delayed its first performance to tonight, September 20. Opening night remains scheduled for October 8 at 7pm. Bronx Bombers runs through October 19 at Primary Stages at The Duke on 42nd Street.

The Ogunquit Playhouse, America's Foremost Summer Theatre, is thrilled to announce the opening of the Tony Award-winning Best Musical Thoroughly Modern Millie on stage June 12 to July 6. Becky Gulsvig, plays small-town girl Millie Dillmount, who heads to New York City in 1922 to start a new life in a city filled with intrigue, jazz and a whole new set of rules for love! Her new flapper lifestyle leads to a series of madcap adventures when she checks into a hotel owned by a dragon-lady villainess audiences are sure to love to hate - played by none other than Ogunquit's favorite, Sally Struthers. This musical-comedy, based on the Mary Tyler Moore, Julie Andrews, Carol Channing film, opened on Broadway in 2002 and garnered six Tony Awards including Best Musical. A new glittering set design, along with the Tony Award-winning costumes and show-stopping dance numbers will be featured in the Ogunquit production. Musical theatre has found a new heroine for the ages - Thoroughly Modern Millie!
