Steppenwolf Sets LookOut Summer Lineup
Steppenwolf Theatre Company announced today the summer lineup for LookOut, a new multi-genre performance series, presenting a wide variety of work from a diverse array of voices, artists emerging and established alike. LookOut programming will take place throughout the summer in the 1700 Theatre, Steppenwolf's new 80-seat black box space at 1700 N Halsted St, which connects to the existing building.

Acclaimed TV personality and longtime Las Vegas resident, Jimmy Kimmel, partnered with University of Las Vegas, Nevada Runnin' Rebels Head Coach Dave Rice and his wife, Mindy, to host the third annual “An Evening with Dave Rice” gala yesterday evening inside the MGM Grand Conference Center. The upscale event benefitted the Dave Rice Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to the education and support of health initiatives including developmental disorders such as Autism and other charitable causes throughout Southern Nevada. 'Make Music New York' Returns With Free Concerts 6/21
Make Music New York, described by city officials as "one of the largest musical events in the city's history," is back for a fourth year of free concerts in public spaces throughout the five boroughs of New York City, all on the first day of summer. On Monday, June 21, from 10 in the morning until 10 at night, musicians of all ages and musical persuasions - from Hip-hop to opera, Latin jazz to punk rock - will perform on streets, sidewalks, stoops, plazas, cemeteries, parks and gardens. Alex Ross of The New Yorker called last year's installment "impressive - more than 800 events across five boroughs. Subversive…musical disruptions invite urban dwellers to abandon their tight routines and let the rhythms of the city take over."
