Planet Ant to Present THE ALGORITHM, 1/31-2/16
Planet Ant Theatre will welcome the 2013 winner of Box Fest Detroit, Kennikki Jones-Jones to direct its next Late Night Series production The Algorithm, an original one-act play debuting Friday, January 31 with performances Friday and Saturday evenings at 9:00pm and Sunday afternoons at 2:00pm through February 16. David Mamet's NOVEMBER to Open Planet Ant's 2013-14, Begin. 9/6
Planet Ant is set to open its 2013-14 season Friday, September 6 with David Mamet's November. This new Oval Office satire depicts one day in the life of a beleaguered American commander-in-chief. It's November in a Presidential election year, and incumbent Charles Smith's chances for reelection are looking grim. Approval ratings are down, his money's running out, and nuclear war may be imminent. November is a scathingly hilarious take on the state of America today and the lengths to which people will go to win. Featuring Seth Amadei* (Dearborn), Dave Davies (Warren), Andy Huff* (Northville), Dan Jaroslaw (Mt. Clemens) and Vanessa Sawson (Ferndale), November is directed by Kelly Komlen (Dearborn) with assistance from Michael Hovitch (Ferndale), stage managed by Ryan Fisher (Albion).
