Following the success of their last album together, Celestial Anomaly, renowned L.A.- based vocalist Janis Mann and New York master pianist Kenny Werner decided to collaborate on a new project which ended up encompassing both East and West coasts.

The GRAMMY AWARDS Premiere Ceremony took place at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, January 26, from 12:30-3:30 p.m. PT. Preceding the 62nd Annual GRAMMY AWARDS telecast, the Premiere Ceremony was hosted by two-time GRAMMY winner and current nominee Imogen Heap and featured a number of performances by current GRAMMY nominees. Performers included classical violinist Nicola Benedetti, jazz legend Chick Corea, folk music supergroup I'm With Her, West African sensation Angélique Kidjo and Best New Artist nominee Yola.

On Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 8:00 p.m., jazz supergroup Artemis make their Carnegie Hall debut in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage. Each renowned for their outstanding solo work, these powerhouse musicians including Cécile McLorin Salvant (Vocals), Renee Rosnes (Music Director and Piano), Anat Cohen (Clarinet and Bass Clarinet), Melissa Aldana (Tenor Saxophone), Ingrid Jensen (Trumpet), Noriko Ueda (Bass), and Allison Miller (Drums) captivate audiences with bold new arrangements of classics by The Beatles to Thelonious Monk, as well as strikingly original compositions by the group's members.

The holidays are a special time at The Nash as the renowned jazz club sprinkles a dash of holiday themed concerts throughout the month, bringing classic jazz and hot Latin sounds to warm up the holiday month. Highlights include the arrival of one of the most renowned samba bands, direct from New York City, Duduka da Fonseca Trio w/ Maucha Adnet on December 9th. Both Duduka and Maucha worked closely with the iconic Antonio Carlos Jobin, the King of Bossa Nova.
Bickford Theatre Announces 2017-2018 Season
The Bickford Theatre has announced their 2017-18 season which includes a blend of jazz, bluegrass, classical, pop and a trio of live theater offerings. Subscription packages for the Main Stage productions are available and seats for most of this season's shows are reserved. Food trucks which proved extremely popular over the summer will be offered for the concerts in September and October so make plans to tailgate while the weather is still nice.
Roni Ben-Hur Celebrates Baden Powell and Thelonious Monk at Jazz at Kitano
Guitarist, Roni Ben-Hur celebrates the music of two iconic musicians who had a major influence on his style, Brazilian guitarist and composer, Beden Powell, on February 17, and the high priest of jazz, Thelonious Monk, on February 18. For these two nights, Roni assembled a top flight quartet featuring the lyrical Steve Nelson on vibes, soulful bassist, Santi Debriano, and two separate drummers for each night, Helio Schiavo, who toured and recored with Baden Powell for over a decade, and Leroy Williams, who started his career as a member of Thelonious Monk's quartet. In these two concerts, Roni introduces a fresh and personal take on the music of Powell and Monk, while keeping a direct link to their original intent. Having Helio Schiavo and Leroy Williams in the group allows Roni, Steve and Santi to hear and feel first hand what Powell and Monk were like on the and off the stage, and gives their performance an added depth and perspective.
