Theatrical Outfit and Dominion Entertainment Group have announced the cast of the upcoming revival of Lorraine Hansberry’s A RAISIN IN THE SUN – on stage September 11 – 29, 2024 at Theatrical Outfit in the heart of Downtown Atlanta.

At once a razor-sharp comedy and a sincere tribute to democracy, The Outsider is a timely and hilarious take on American politics. Ned Newley doesn't even want to be Governor. He's terrified of public speaking; his poll numbers are impressively bad. To his ever-supportive Chief-of-Staff, Ned seems destined to fail. But a hired political consultant sees things differently. Ned might be the worst candidate to ever run for office. Unlessa?? that's just what the voters want.

BWW Review: NELL GWYNN shows 17th Century humor and heart at Synchronicty Theatre
Atlanta's Synchronicity Theatre opens its 21st Season with Jessica Swale's NELL GWYNN, a comedy based on the true story of an orange vendor who becomes one of the most celebrated actresses in 17th Century London - and King Charles II's mistress. The play follows Nell from rags to riches, as she transforms from a bawdy orange seller on the street to a revered actress, who was ahead of her time during an era where it was a novelty to see women grace the stage. Accompanied by friends, theatre colleagues, and her lover the King, Nell finds herself ascending to high society while trying to forget her meager background. The cast includes Courtney Moors as Nell, Eugene H. Russell as Charles Hart, Robert Shaw-Smith as King Charles accompanied by a talented ensemble.

Stage Door Players to Present LET NOTHING YOU DISMAY
Continuing the 43rd Season of Dunwoody's very own professional theatre, STAGE DOOR PLAYERS presents the return of the Suzi Bass Award winning holiday comedy, Let Nothing You Dismay by Atlanta's own Topher Payne. Shannon Eubanks directs. The show opens on Friday, December 2, and runs through Sunday, December 18. Performances are Thursdays through Saturdays at 8pm, and Sundays at 2:30pm. Tonight, the Suzi Bass Awards, Inc. revealed nominations for the 2014-2015 Atlanta professional theatrical season to theatre patrons and industry artists. The Suzi Nomination Party, which rotates venues, was hosted this year by Horizon Theatre. Guest announcers included the ladies of The Weird Sisters Theatre Project: Kelly Criss, Veronika Duerr, Jaclyn Hofmann, Tiffany Porter, and Megan Rose.
