More than 50 years in the theatre. Douglas born in Philadelphia,PA...was thrust into the theatre after experiencing the National Tour of Gower Champion's CARNIVAL.....Life changed. By the time he had ffinished high school he had performed in Summer Stock and done CARNIVAL/THE MOUSE THAT ROARED/THE KING AND i (bUDDAH...Yeah!PAINTED HEAD TO TOE IN GOLD BODY PAINT) /KISS ME KATE/HOW TO SUCCEED as Bud Frump and Eddie Ryan in FUNNY GIRL.
At University the 1st Motel in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF (after professional Nat Tours and Bway run)...instructed by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick/ Jimmy in THE GINGERBREAD LADY w/ Gretchen Wyler/ Max in CABARET w/Academy Award winning Mercedes McCambridge and Kurt Kaznar both also reproduced at Coconut Grove Playhouse and Emory in THE BOYS IN THE BAND
