The cabaret-style evening features a live performance of Ella Fitzgerald songs by Monheit along with a three-course catered dinner, fine wine and cocktails, and a live auction. Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens Commissions Floral Art Installation by Rebecca Louise Law
SAN CLEMENTE, Calif., Oct. 10, 2016 /PRNewswire/ Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens, a nonprofit southern California cultural center, has commissioned well-known artist Rebecca Louise Law to create a floral art installation. Casa Romantica is recruiting gardeners from the southern California community to grow and donate the 8,000 blooms needed to comprise the material for the artwork. The artist will weave and hang the blooms at the center's gallery in June 2017, and the living exhibition will transform for three months. Casa Coastal: Rebecca Louise Law will lead educational efforts about the benefits of native and drought-tolerant horticulture from an artistic standpoint, and is a pivotal community engagement project for southern California.
Red Hot Chili Peppers' Flea and Anthony Kiedis to Host Benefit for Silverlake Conservatory of Music
Silverlake Conservatory of Music announced today that its founder, Red Hot Chili Peppers' bassist Flea, and bandmate/front-man Anthony Kiedis will host a benefit for the school on Wednesday, October 30th in Silverlake, CA featuring special performances by Neil Young and Red Hot Chili Peppers. Proceeds from the evening will contribute to the Conservatory's goal of purchasing a permanent facility and expanding their scholarship program.

The Julia Dean Photo Workshops Announces 2013 Summer Photography Youth Program
The Julia Dean Photo Workshops (JDPW) has announced its 2013 Summer Youth Program featuring several one-week long classes as well as weekend photo excursions. Created for students in middle school and high school, the program is designed to educate and enrich the lives of Los Angeles' city youth. The program begins in early July and runs through the middle of August.
