Most recently Doug was the Music Director, Composer and Arranger for the Reel to Real for Broadway Asia and the Edinburgh Festival, I Got Fired at The Barrow Group Theatre, and The A**hole in My Head which recently played at Birdland.
He also Music Directed a wonderful new show at the Fringe Festival titled Top Drawer.

He can be heard as the featured trumpet soloist on the Sony Classics Grammy nominated recording of Swing! (Original Broadway Cast recording) as well as MCA Records Vanessa Daou "Slow to Burn" and is currently collaborating with Nile Rodgers on DoubleTime. He was nominated for a Jefferson Award for his work on Swing! in Chicago and won a Bistro Award for excellence in Musical Direction and Arranging/Orchestrating for Little Death.

In 1976 on Broadway, just 11 songs into the 2-hour performance, the audience erupted into a show stopping standing ovation. Broadway Veteran, Estonians, and an Irishman, team up to bring the legendary story of the Singing Revolution to the New York theatre community. The production is initiated by an American director/choreographer, Tony Spinosa, and Irish co-book writer, James Bearhart. The story is inspired by the Estonian emancipation from the Soviet Union in 1991

The New York Musical Festival (NYMF) announced today the winners of the 2017 NYMF Awards for Excellence, which were awarded on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Hudson Terrace (621 W 46th St, New York, NY 10036). The 2017 NYMF Award for Best Musical Sponsored by Play-by-Play was awarded to GENERATION ME, with the Show-Score Best of Fest Awards for Readings, Concerts/Events and Productions, going to CHRISTMAS IN HELL, DORIAN GRAY, and ERROL AND FIDEL, respectively. GENERATION ME took home the most awards, with GEORAMA: AN AMERICAN PANORAMA TOLD ON 3 MILES OF CANVAS, ERROL AND FIDEL, and FREEDOM RIDERS taking home multiple prizes as well.

The program is helmed by Matt Schicker and will kick off on Monday, December 5 at 3:30PM at Pearl Studios in New York, NY, with an invite-only Actors' Equity Association stage reading of Frida, a musical with book and lyrics by Michael Aman and music by Dana P. Rowe.
