This summer, The Coterie will produce the world premiere of the new family musical, Alice’s Wonderland, adapted from Lewis Carroll’s classic story and featuring an original score with book, music and lyrics by J. Quinton Johnson and Julia Riew -- based on a treatment by Linda Chichester and David Coffman.

Musicians United for Social Equity (MUSE) has announced the winners of their two scholarships supporting BIPOC musicians pursuing a career in theatre. The organization’s inaugural scholarships being awarded today are to Zachary Mullings and Julia Riew, both of whom have demonstrated exemplary strengths and talent in their respective field.

While high belters rule Broadway today, during Broadway's Golden Age the baritone was king - which means that the great male numbers written by the likes of Irving Berlin, Rodgers & Hart, Rodgers & Hammerstein, The Gershwins, Sigmund Romberg, Cole Porter, and others of their iconic ilk, were largely written for baritones. But William Michals is the one Broadway star of today who is the singular baritone born for that great music.

In an unprecedented outpouring of support by performers, a second show had to be added to accommodate the number of stars that wanted to sing in honor of Barbara Siegel's contributions to the theater as first an Outer Critics Circle Nominator and then a Drama Desk Nominator (the latter, 18 years, 12 of those as chairperson of the Drama Desk Nominating Committee).
